Practical experience for better city decisions.

MEET MIKE OXLEY

Mike Oxley, candidate for Mendota Heights City Council, outdoors in Mendota Heights

On August 5, Mike Oxley sat in a packed City Hall as Mendota Heights residents spilled into the lobby. They had come with questions about a proposed $33.1 Million municipal campus. One that could increase the city property taxes on a median-value home by roughly $350 - $450 every year for decades, but the city council voted before those residents were given an opportunity to speak. The people being asked to pay for the project were still waiting to be heard. Mendota Heights needs safe, functional facilities, but supporting those needs should not require residents to accept unclear costs or decisions made without their voices being part of the process. This is why Mike Oxley is a Mendota Heights City Council Candidate.

MIKE OXLEY IN THE MENDOTA HEIGHTS COMMUNITY

Mike’s connection to Mendota Heights comes from being part of the community day to day—raising his family here, volunteering, and spending countless hours at the ballfields coaching kids TRAA baseball/softball. Coaching has given Mike a chance to work with local kids, meet families from across the community, and see firsthand how much volunteers and neighbors contribute to making Mendota Heights a great place to raise a family. Those experiences have reinforced his belief that a Mendota Heights City Council candidate should stay connected to the people they serve and listen to what matters to them.

On the FIELD
